Locate Evolution Company Databases
Select the Companies list and click the button Add Company.
After filling your Server Name, User Name and Password, and Database Name, click the Test button to see if the database is reachable and passes the compatibility tests, and if so, click Save.
MINIMUM VERSIONS SUPPORTED
When the server+database connection is tested, the following minimum version requirements are also tested:
Component | Minimum Version |
---|---|
SQL Server | SQL Server 2016 (13.x.x) |
Database Compatibility Level | 130 [*] |
Evolution | 11.1.x.x. |
[*] It may be that the database was created by an earlier version of SQL Server, and while the server has been upgraded, the database retains its old compatibility level. If you don't have a specific reason for keeping the database at the old level (i.e. not compatible with newer features), you can simply run ALTER DATABASE databasename SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL = 130
.
WARNING
If, for security reasons, you would rather use Integrated Security, please ensure that you add the user IIS_APPPOOL\<your-evonet-api-application-pool-name> as a db_owner to your SQL databases.
ADVANCED
If you wish to enter the ConnectionString yourself to add additional parameters that your server may require, click the "Edit ConnectionString" link above the Server Name. Please ensure that you only include parameters valid for the SqlConnection.ConnectionString class.
You can now log out using the Log out button at the top right, then, click the Open Company button to return to the Open Evolution Company screen.
Your Evolution Company should now be listed. Select the Company by clicking on it and use your Evolution Agent login name and password to open the Company.
